The 5th Annual 4:20 Rebelution Blackout Music Festival
Celebrate the Spirit of Rebel I Soldier at the 5th Annual 420 Rebelution Blackout Music Festival organised by The Roots Rock Reggae Collective.
Johannesburg’s vibrant music scene is set to blaze with energy on April 20th, 2024, as the city hosts the highly anticipated 420 Music Festival, which promises an unforgettable celebration of music and culture, This years event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the legacy of the late Rebel I Soldier an icon in the realms of hip-hop and reggae. Described as a musical genius whose music is a melting pot of cultural references from all over Afrika. Think Reggae, Hip hop, Dancehall and everything in-between. He was one of the headline acts at last year’s edition of 420 Rebelution Blackout and passed away not long after the event. The Rebelution Team thus saw it proper to dedicate this year’s festival to his memory and contribution to the South African Music scene.
“We are thrilled to present the 42024 Music Festival as a tribute to Rebel I Soldier, a true pioneer whose influence continues to inspire us as a collective, the festival is literally named after him” said Zamazwide Nxumalo, Event Coordinator.
The 42024 Music Festival is an annual music display that celebrates and showcases Mzansi’s top Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-hop and Alternative musicians. It’s an easy going event for like minded people to share stories, spiffs and get down to music that touches the soul.
Held at the iconic Urban Zulu Rooftop in the heart of Johannesburg, this festival is poised to be an electric gathering of friends, fans, artists, and enthusiasts alike. Patrons will be treated to an array of performances by some of the hottest names in the scene, with each act bringing their unique style and energy to the stage.
In addition to the stellar line-up of artists, the festival will also feature delectable bites, high-grade 420 products as well as merchandise stalls showcasing unique items for music enthusiasts to take home as mementos of this special event.
