Adwa victory day is a historical day of continental heritage where an African nation Ethiopia, for the first time defeated a European nation Italy in 1896. We have invited Prof. MammoMuchie from Ethiopia who is currently a Research chair at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) to these activities to enlighten the audience on the decisive leadership of Emperor Menelik, nicknamed “The General” by many African leaders, and his right arm Empress Taitu.
The well-known RasTafari lawyer cannabis activist Gareth Prince will be there to address the audience on cannabis legislation in SA. He will be handing over the memorandum to the secretary of the President of SA on 2nd March.
The Ethiopian Ambassador to the South Africa Dr Shiferaw Teklemariam Menbachohas been invited as the guest of honour for this year’s Adwa Celebration.
Since this will be a family oriented program, once again, we encourage our guests to bring the entire family to the event.
