Ras Chepah (Lameck Chepah) is a music producer and singer who has been
making music since 1998. His career began with his work as a video
editor in T Head (Zimbabwean Dancehall selector)’s studio. When his
potential as a musician became increasingly evident he was allowed to
make use of the studio for his own projects. Ras Chepah was born in
Malawi and his creative pursuits have led to his travels to Zimbabwe,
Botswana, and finally to South Africa which is his current location.
He is the owner/founder of Wayout records and continues to produce
music for himself and other artists, such as Vinny N’ange who he
produced the album ‘Baby gal’ for in 2010.
