The fourth edition of the Global Reggae Charts magazine is out now. With features about Samory I and his way of doing „slow music“, and Vitowar, one of our voters from Italy.
On the single charts, we have some new entries on the lower positions, but a lot of the big productions manifested their strong positions. Damian Marley – Medication feat. Stephen Marley stays at #1 and Chronixx – Skanking Sweet climbed from #4 to #2. Collie Buddz – Good Life made a re-entry after two months off the charts at #9. New entries on the single charts coming from Jesse Royal (#10), Estelle feat. Tarrus Riley (#13), Mortimer (#16) and Romain Virgo (#18). Chronixx has a new entry with „Ghetto Paradise“ at #19 as well and is dominating the charts with four tracks on the single charts and the – not unexpected and definitely earned – #1 on the album charts. It’s interesting, that all three top positions on the album charts are new entries. Chronixx, Samory I and Damian Marley. Chronixx and Damian Marley have been expected to enter the charts at a top position, but Samory I couldn’t have been too sure about it. That’s why we decided to honour his success with a feature article. Two more new entries coming from Courtney John and Perfect Giddimani.
The charts are online and can be found at http://www.globalreggaecharts.com. Voter registration is now open as well. Visit the site for all the details.
