Reggae Ambassadors THIRD WORLD to perform at Soweto International Jazz Fest

International Reggae Stars THIRD WORLD will make their appearance in South Africa at the Soweto International Jazz festival, 14 – 17 June 2018. The four day festival will be held at the Soweto Theatre Festival Complex, in Jabulani, Soweto.

The international artist line-up will include Grammy Award winning stars such as Bob James, Deborah Cox, Spyro Gyra, Neville Brothers, South African Jazz/R&B star, Ernie Smith and Charlie Wilson. The celebration is also a tribute to Hugh Masekela and Nelson Mandela’s100^th birthday.

The Jamaican band, THIRD WORLD, was formed in 1973 is celebrating 45 years of making music as Reggae Ambassadors, fusing elements of RnB, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Rap into roots Reggae to form Reggae Fusion, as their style of music is called. In those years they have produced 22 albums with a catalogue of international hits such as 96 Degrees in the Shade, Now That we found Love, Try Jah Love. The band received 10 Grammy nominations and have collaborated with Stevie Wonder and other renowned artists. They went on to wow audiences at international stages across the globe.

South Africans will get their turn to experience and fulljoy their live eclectic performance thanks to the Soweto International Jazz Festival.
