The October issue of the Global Reggae Charts with Mr. Vegas as “Artist of the Month“. If you are following our “New Reggae Releases” playlist on Spotify, you’ll find that the number of new tunes is getting much higher again.
This you can find beginning on the charts as well. On the album charts we have new entries from our feature artist Mr. Vegas (“Ism”), E.N Young (“Forest Wilderness”), Alpha Blondy (”Human Race”), and Nat Birchall & Al Breadwinner (”Sounds Almighty”). On the single charts, we have new entries from Lika Iké (”Second Chance”), Capital Letters (”The Roots”), Black Roots (”Take It”), Csavi and Sly & Robbie (”Gone Again”), and Skip Marley (”Johnny Was”). When we are looking at the riddim charts, we find three of the five places with new entries.

Besides the single, album, and riddim charts, you can find two voter interviews this month in the magazine. We had a quick talk with Sista Selecta from Australia, who presents her “Roots‘n’Reggae Show” on the local 2BOB radio station. Additionally, the show gets syndicated through the community radio network and can be heard on stations all over Australia. The second voter we’ve talked to is Teo Rootical. He is the singer of the band Rootical Foundation and presents his “Reggae Corner” on a local station in Italy, called Radio Magenta.
The charts are online and can be found at www.globalreggaecharts.com. Voter registration is now open as well. Visit the site for all the details.
