SAMA25 Nominees for Best Reggae Album 2019
The 25th South African Music Awards has put Reggae as a stand alone category which was previously grouped with Best R&B/Soul and Reggae Album category. Reggae was also bundled with these genres due to lack of submissions from Reggae and Dancehall artists, but this year the tide has changed and these artists made good of the opportunity by submitting their works to be considered the Best Reggae Album for 2019.
In our previous segment, we profiled the works submitted and for this segment, we turn our focus on the artists by posing the same questions to each nominee; they give us insight into their preparation and the works put in. The Award ceremony will be held on Saturday June 01, 2019 where the overall winner will be announced. There is a strong general consensus among supporters and fans of Reggae that this already is a big win for Reggae in South Africa irrespective of who takes the award home. Who is it going to be?
