Reggae singer Bashy Jahbless was born Bashean Mudau in Vuwani, Limpopo Province. Grew up and completed his studies in Venda. He was born in 1989 March 04.
He recorded his first album in 2007 while still at Secondary School. The first album was titled (World Without Peace) but it didn’t make an impact in the music industry. Being not successful of the first album didn’t demoralize me but it, it only encouraged me to work harder.
I, then released my second album (Tshanduko yo Swika) meaning “changes have finally arrived” that’s where I introduced myself in dancehall style and grab attention many people’s attention and recorded my third album (African) in 2011 featuring Black Culture Mario Mukwevho in two songs. After releasing these two albums I received positive responses from hundreds of audiences and words of encouragement.
Although minority took my music career for granted, I didn’t stop recording. I went back to studio again recorded album (Poor People’s Cry) with 12 hits like: “we burn it”, “roll it up”, “rise again”, “police brutality”, “Mudzimu wa mulalo” feat talented Reggae Gospel singer Justice Mbedzi aka Just-Ice. The album gained airplay in May different radio stations.
2017 Jahbless made a come back with an EP entitled (I love you, Mama) at Mulambo Media, which pushed me to have more interviews in different radio stations.
My latest album was recorded in 2018 at Unik Prodakshin. (Jah Reign) is still on demand even today. In my 2018 album I worked with different Reggae artist such as Rooijah, The Natty Lions and MC-A.
Bashy Jahbless is currently busy with a project at Masana Records, MB records and Big Robza Records. The album that I’m busy with will be released in April 2020. (Life’s a blessing) will be available from Good Friday in 2020 even though people are eagerly waiting for it. I want to ensure that the best quality is served that’s the reason why I am recording my upcoming album in 3 different studios. After releasing my upcoming album I will get busy with music video.
