Jezz De Don Dada
Jezz De Don Dada affectionately known to many as Jezz, is a Reggae Dancehall selector hailing from Zimbabwe. He has years of experience in the industry, spanning from a young age as a lover of the music in the nineties to date, both on the local and international scene. His love for the music is evident in his juggling which has a healthy dose of 90’s Jamaican Dancehall Reggae music from a time that many agree was the golden era of Dancehall. Jezz brings the true meaning to the term Old is Gold.
Apart from that side of the music, Jezz also dons the hat of an easy going Reggae DJ and MC roping in both Reggae and non-reggae lovers to dance and sing along as he smoothly blends Reggae renditions of popular songs with the best of riddims, this made him a favorite for Caribbean themed brunches, private parties and boat cruises in the Middle East where he has been based for the last decade, Jezz wears the of a hat reggaetarian with plenty of it on the menu.
When he is not behind the decks Jezz plays a consultancy role for different brands and artists the world over; being one the founding member of the biggest reggae event promotions company in the GCC, Reggae Beachfest has found him touring with some of the biggest names in Reggae Dancehall, greats like Wayne Wonder, Busy Signal, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Junior Reid, Diana King, Tanya Stephens, Cecile and Romain Virgo just to name a few. Jezz attended his college in Pretoria and worked there for a couple years, all this time he was instrumental in the growth of Reggae Dancehall in the area he lived and worked.
