Sifiso Khambule
SFS 5 Star is a South African based Reggae/Dancehall/Hip Hop artist born in Soweto, Johannesburg in 1987. SFS was first introduced to the South African audience when he was featured on JR debut album, The Main Event, on the song ‘Mathata’in 2008. SFS has since been a main feature in the industry with over 10 guest appearances mainly in the Hip Hop circles including working with JR, PROKID, Shuga Smarkx, Ringo and DJ Dimples amongst many artists.
He cites the early 90s Ragga/Dancehall sounds of Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks , Sizzla, BeanieMan and Capleton amongst his many influences. The modern day influences include Busy Signal, Burna Boy (Nigeria), Sean Paul, 340ml (SA), and Mavado & Vybz Kartel. In the year 2008 he signed to his current record label, Bentey Records & Management, and has since been working on his Craft and Brand of music that he aptly describes as a Dancehall/Hip Hop cross over sound.
He is currently completing work on his much awaited debut album “DaXoVa (The CrossOver)” due for release in the summer of 2014. SFS released the single “Cant Move We”, featuring PROKID and REDBUTTON reaching number one on the YFM Hot 9@9.

The album presents the a new signature sound unique to SFS relating a Hip Hop background immersed in the roots and culture of Reggae Dancehall, an interpretation of Reggae Dancehall related through a blend of heavy Hip Hop and new age Riddims from the rich wells of Southern Africa music. The album features an impressive guest appearances list, including MaE (Teargas),TeePee, PRO, RedButton and Khuli Chana. Some of the featured producers on the album include RedButton, BrianBeatz, 37MPH and Jabz ProPlay.
