Jeremiah Fyah Ises, born Jeremiah Bongani Mandlazi is a South African Reggae Artist that was raised in a township called Kwa-Thema Springs in Ekurhuleni, South Africa. Fyah Ises got exposed to music
at an early age through “Zion Church”, a Christian church which he attended until the age of 14 then he decided to heed the calling of becoming Rasta, where he became a member of the “Nyahbhingi
Congregation”.
He was taught to play a guitar by his fellow brethren and while he was in high school he became a member of a group called “King Negus Mlonji” which exposed him to the Ragga (Dancehall) type of rhyming. He then started to write his own songs which include songs like “Sensimina” which became big around Open Mic Sessions in and around his neighborhood.
In 2012 he met with Shamrock Guitor(Producer) through mutual friends, They came up with a project
called “Uhambo_The Journey” written by Ises and produced by Shamrock Guitor. The album features
hits like “Mama”, “Never go low” and the title track “Uhambo_The Journey”. Ises has worked with
Blazing Fyah from Senegal, More Life Productions from California where he did a track on the “Herb
Family Riddim” and it features big names like Sizzla, Tefflon, Jabalance, Khalali Blaxx and more. He also
features on the KonfrontationTime Riddim which is produced by Riddim Yutz Production (S.A). He is
currently on a “Positive Vibrations Tour” around the country and also making final touches to his long
awaited Album.
When asked where would he like to see himself in the future, he confidently says “I see a lot of progress,
I see myself traveling around the world spreading Jah love through my music cause music is what I use
to express myself. I want my music to teach, heal and inspire the masses.”
