Achievements Riddim VA Flyweh Records
Flyweh Records put out a Fire Full Riddim and the Artists responded with Fire. They understood the assignment and delivered, All of them. Achievements Riddim by various artists dropped on all digital streaming links on November 16, 2022. The Artists featured took it all personal, they beared their souls on the smoothly laid out beat produced by Jah Link for Flyweh Records 2022.
They all reflect on their personal struggles and triumphs and reflections and reactions.
AMAZE, the Artist who blessed us with the Anthropology Album which included the beautiful track Black is Beautiful, sets the tone with the opening track Ichanaya. A soul wrenching track coming from the heart.
L’titude will have you Bussing a Blank for Mama throughout the entire track because he went in hard on the track Mommy. He is on steroids with a flawless flow. L’titude Snapped!
Wadiwa Musiq put on soulful gospel tinged lament on the vocalization of The Better Is Yet To Come. Goosebumps and chills because another one Snapped!
The Reggae Dancehall Afro Pop and RnB Soul Performing artist called Raider Boss hailing out eNorth Crest in Umtata did the Tings that can never be undone with the Track Celebrate. Another one Snapped!
Fyah Prince dashed the riddim with more Fire, because No Matter What is a track that sees Fyah Prince stepping up fiercely. His No nonsense irritation found a beautiful outlet where he clearly and emotionally lets it out to rest and to find a way to move forward unhinged.
When a man comes face to face with his demons that often leads him back to the way of the ancestors. We hear Bun Pot pleading to his forebears to light up his ways as he cannot take the sufferation anymore. Jah Link gave him a beat on which to really bear his soul and he does that raw and passionately in Khanyisa Dlozi’Lam.
Mojelo steps up with The Master Plan: ” It is about the higher divine universal plan for everyone on the planet. It is about how we all have our portion and our own path in life, a part of it is already laid before us and a part of it is chosen by us working together with the will of the higher power in and around us.” ~ Mojelo.
ItesMan, Jah Link and Jaggnaut you will find them on all the Flyweh Productions, pick any, and you will find these soldiers. ItesMan takes it back to his original sound that only he knows how, talking about My Achievement are Your Achievements and nobody can take them away from you. Jah Link follows with the affirmation that I Got Faith, we all goin to make it one day. Jah Link switches from producer to artist and goes on to murder his own riddim. Day one Soldier Jagganaut always bringing the global Reggae heat big ups his bredda at Flyweh Records cos even they try to bring him down they Couldn’t Dweet.
Folks at Concrete Jungle Studios came all out and gunnz blazing, the entire crew laced over the Achievements Riddim as they were celebrating their Achievements in this period. They released studio Albums and one was nominated at the South African Music Awards.. Botanist Mr. Lamington bears it all in Do What You Do, very touching and it brought out the younger Botanist to the fore again. The man of the moment at the studios is Naf-Ital Who just released his album This Time which includes the track Life is A Blessing. In this track Naf-Ital seemed to have found his comfort zone, he delivers expertly. The trio is rounded up by Dimahr with the track Mek it Alone. The song also made it Dimahr’s debut album The Truth and it was one of the well received tracks from the album.
Mr. Pespin brings a bit of a comic relief with his opening line on the track Jah Jah Children. He laments: “Yeah! They wann chase me out of Rastafari ya know, Selassi I Know!”. Pepsin knows what he knows and he is a determined man. He will hail Rastafari in his Ragga style way because at the end of it all we are all Jah Jah Children.
Big Daddy Zorro brings in the Gugz heat while motivating us to Keep your Head Up! As always Zorro has his ear on the ground and knows exactly when and how to motivate.
Trushatta from Roseau, Dominica, Jahzo, Musical Dynasty outta Vaal, Don Franco Tafari, Fhiyahshua all delivered soul wrenched classics.
Jah Link put out a beautiful Riddim that asks for a pause to reflect, restore, regain, centralise and organise, because we have achieved so much as a collective. He brought lesser known voices to the fore. He stripped off his artist hat and put on his producer hat and worked purposefully on the riddim, allowing each artist to blossom and and bringing out their individual best. He is becoming a seasoned producer in this era. The Artists really owned the project. The 20 track compilation was meticulously laid out closing off with Blessings by another Flyweh souldier Jahzo.
Gunnz Selecta is already pon di case with a Compilation Mix, for maximum impact.! Here is Achievements Riddim as heard by the competent ears of Riddim Master Gunnz Selekta.
