Banca Wadada

Beanca Wadada is the fresh face of dancehall music in Malawi. She is a full package – a superb singer, an amazing songwriter and an energetic performer.

She has stunned music listeners and show goers ever since her epic emergence in the Malawi industry in 2013. She has been captaining the dancehall arena with a great selection of music that hint on topics like: motherhood, women empowerment and positivity amongst the youth. Armed with an insatiable tenacity drive for success, she is has transformed into an undeniable musical success.

Born 24th December, 1996 at St. John’s Hospital in Mzuzu. She decided to venture into music to help solidify the presence of women in the industry. She set out to prove that women could achieve greater heights in music, just as much as male counterparts.

Beanca’s discography catalogs from 2015 when she released her first single ‘Asamaleni’ in the year 2015, produced by Red Disc studios and it encourages modern society to take care of children, owing to the fact that they are the future of the nation.

In 2016, Beanca made a gigantic step after releasing; songs like ‘Canal Mind’, ‘Galu Wapadzala’, ‘Working’ and ‘Ntadekha’, which made her gain more exposure and radio play countrywide. She has been a mainstay on radio stations such as MBC Radio 1, MBC Radio 2, Joy Radio, Power 101, Galaxy FM, Ufulu FM and Mij FM just to mention a few.

Her relationships amongst friends and colleagues opened doors for creative and writing sessions alongside skilled artists, such as: Queen Fyah, Sylvania, Nepman, Catallia, Saint, Simba from Zimbabwe and the list continues to grow.

Beanca Wadada expressive writing skills and sharpened delivery, commands the attention and respect of her audience with each performance. She has an uncanny ability to keep all listening, as if in a trance, as they absorb her every word, every rhyme.

Her energetic stage performance cannot be dismissed. She has shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Jamaica’s Busy Signal, Exco Levi, Mr Diamond, in 2016, and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, at Malawi’s premium festival, Sand Music Festival.
