General Plago

Born as Bheki Dladla in a village of S’phongweni at Msinga in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Music was always a big part of his life from playing as a child to traditional ceremonies, church, weddings and funerals. So the relationship between the Artist and the Music had started although they had not formally met, yet!

When Bheki met a musician by the name of Mbheki Khoza and joined the Mhlaba Band, that is when his Love for Music specifically Reggae Music started to grow. He learned to first play Drums, Guitar and then Bass. After completing high School, three members of the band left for Johannesburg namely Bheki, Cyril and S’mphiwe who called themselves “Trio”. Being inspired by Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Burning Spear (bought with his first pay), Buju Banton. Bheki then started to Learn, Love and Embrace Rastafari. The music continued with part-time studying at Wits campus Parktown while jamming around the Noord Taxi Rank ( RoofTop Assembly ) and WindyBrow Poetry sessions to name a few.

That is when Bheki “Planet”, Maceli “Juda”, Tshidiso “Rebel Skin”, Tuflo, Bongo Riot, John Siwele formed The Band, Skin 2 Skin. They played Reggae, Afro, Rock, Soul, and R n B as a True Musical Expression of Love and Social Life. The Band enjoyed success and played many shows and places like Soweto Festival, Soweto Beer Festival, Jozi Clubs, Cape town clubs. After four Great Growing years with the Band, Bheki decided to step into a Solo Career as General Plago , a Reggae Dancehall Artist.

His video I Know Rastafari screened on Soweto TV and is on the current playlist of Raggattack, Yfm hosted by Jah Seed and Admiral. This Reggae Artist like his riddim running ragga lyrics is quickly making a International Buzz in the Music Industry having impressed Dub Akom (France Reggae Band ) enough to record I know Rastafari  on their Bonafide Riddim. His first single to be played Nationwide ‘Buss It‘ was followed by Hustler then it was Bad Mind to set the tone for the follow up EP ‘Buss It’.  Now General Plago will be promoting the EP on up coming shows like Catch a Fyah, Dancehall Queen Competition at Afrikan Storm (Bassline) and more Reggae shows.

Although General Plago is unsigned, the plan is to release another EP and then an Album which will be Released Locally and Hopefully Internationally then Performed Internationally coz Jah Love is International Morality! Reggae Music is about Global Unity!!
