Thato Brevin Molefe
Born in Ventersdorp, Tshing Location in North WestProvince South Africa. Thato Molefe known as Ragga Damdee had his musical influence while he was still a little boy going to church with his mother. In 1998 he formed a group called Makhwenza Amhlaba along with his 6 friends but the group neva archived their goals. It ended up being 3 in the group and subsequently the other member left and only two was left and continued playing kwaito/motswako music. In 2009 he visited his cousins in Kagiso, krugersdorp where he met with people like Sanzadalixious(DJ) and Tso The Darkhorse(Mc -Promoter) who encouraged him to proceed with his love of music under the genre of Reggae/Dancehall music. Thus began his solo career. He started to work with various local artist around kagiso until he went back home in Tshing Location in 2011 and released a mixtape titled Free soul of speech under Dillatron Fam together wit Tape Of The Year of Dillatron Fam crew and Ventersdorp Tape Deck. In 2012 he formed a group called Zion Code which released a dubplate called Boom Sound under Ital Vital Records label and Wah Dem Do! Under Gangalee’s Production the group Zion Code won The Matlosane Entertainment Music Awards (Mema’s) 2014 for best group/Duo; Performed in various local shows like PowerEntertainment long side Jeremiah Fayah Ises; Ventersdorp’s Mayoral inauguration, Black History Month and Rasta expo. He is busy recording his debut album soon to be released in 2015 with Tswanshall [Botswana Dancehall] movement from across the borders of Botswana with the likes of Chantty Natural, JahGene the Jahgun, Red I Scorch, Marcus-X, Anciant Fire, Ras Iyets and The Late Ras Negus Bidhi (SA)
