Born 25 December, Solomon Tokwe Aka Rutsman Spice is from Harare Zimbabwe.
He grew up in a medium density of Warren Park. He draws his inspiration from the likes of Twinkle brothers, The Gladiators, Bob Marley, Incrown, Misty in Roots to mention but just a few.
His Reggae journey began when he joined the Transit Crew Reggae group which was founded by Munya Brown former Misty in Roots drummer in the 1980s. Hi has shared the stage with the likes of Sizzla at the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe, Also shared the stage with Yasus Afari (Jamaican dub poet) at HIFA FESTIVAL and has experience backing international acts and has had opportunities of presenting his own original songs live on stage. He has performed live in Kenya, Mali and Ghana on his African tour before relocating to South Africa. Rutsman spice has collaborated with artists such as Ghanaian brother Mama Beat and Badman from Zimbabwe. In South Africa Rutsman started working with Ziondawta who had a jazz band by the name of ZionYard and brought in reggae to the band. Currently the band is known as ZionRuts Family. The band has performed live in both public and private functions. Ziondawta is also currently working on her album along with Rutsman. Our music is all about positive upliftment and captivation, uniting and showing love to the world and showing that love can be greater and can conquer even the unseen realities of life. ZionRuts family is on the verge of recording their debut album entitled Kip on Surviving.
