Silectah Joseph was born in South Africa, Cape Town in Tygerberg on 13 of Feb. He was raised in a Christian home in Cape Town, Atlantis Robinvale. Silectah Joseph loved music from an early age.
He got acquainted with Reggae Dancehall music in 2004, falling in love with the music of Vybz Kartel, Bounty killer, Capleton, Sizzla, Sean Paul and Wayne Marshall. At the age of 16 he started learning how to select Reggae music from a friend. People fell in love with the way he played reggae music. The reggae/dancehall fans enjoyed what he did and started noticing his talent and named him SILECTAH JOSEPH from his tribe name JOSEPH in the bible.
In 2009 he started producing his own music by writing lyrics on Reggae beats, recorded them and gave them to his friends to listen. He formed a group with his two Rastafarian friends called Kingsound Production as they believe that Reggae music is kingly, because of the massages that lie in the music. In 2009 one of group member passed away and the other later left the group and he was left alone to continue with the mission.
Things got better and Silectah Joseph decided to open a home studio and go on with the name
Kingsound Production. He started producing reggae/dancehall beats for himself and other artists. His first project ROARING LION RIDDIM was a reggae one drop riddim with Artists from Jamaica, it was released in November 2013. He followed up with a hit song Fake Friends on The Hybrid riddim which he produced. He worked with Blackol Records based in Cape Town, South Africa. His determinedto take Reggae to a higher level using his skills and experience.
