Chronixx to perform two shows in South Africa

As part of the Africa Soul Circle Tour, Chronixx and the Zinc Fence Redemption Band will perform two shows in South Africa. The historical event will take place in the month of June celebrated as Youth Month commemorating the 1976 Soweto Youth Uprisings. Chronixx, whose real name is Jamar Rolando McNaughton, has been in the forefront along with other new generation of roots reggae artists from Jamaica in revitalising roots music and culture especially among the youth. It is quite fitting that South Africa’s Reggae Community will celebrate youth month with such a prolific performer and conscious lyricist at the historical Walter Sisulu Square in Soweto and at The Grace Performing arts Centre in Parow, Cape Town.

Chronixx, who has had a string of hit singles, will be performing in South Africa for the first time, though it will not be the first time performing on African Soil. He has already performed in Kenya and was named Peace Ambassador for Kenya during his visit there. He has also hinted on plans to tour the West African Countries in the future. He has a huge following on the continent and when the news of his forthcoming dates were released, fans were ecstatic and ready to buy tickets.

The Africa Soul Circle Tour is scheduled for 3 Countries in Africa, starting in Uganda, Kampala on the 17th of June, followed by Kenya, Nairobi on the 18th and Ethiopia, Addis Ababa rounding off the East Africa region on the 19th before heading down to South Africa.
