Shisaka Ent is a Production Company promoting music, particularly Reggae Dancehall. It was formed in 2017 by Tapuwa Shiridzinomwa aka Big BouyaMan, and the team members are DJ Goofy Gucci Vybz & MC Sean B backed up by Rico Myers aka Mr Jookx with Big Fadda and her assistant Tasha handling gig logistics.
They have hosted a variety of shows (including Beenie Man Live in SA), at different venues in and around Johannesburg and as far as Cape Town. The success of their events propelled them to seek and find a permanent home for their events, and thus House of Shisaka was established. Big Fadda explains further:
“We have now opened our very own Mangoma (HOUSE OF SHISAKA) at the Tupolev in Rasta House Yeoville. We balance our acts with acclaimed local Reggae/Dancehall Artists & DJs with Acts from Zimbabwe which is our country of Origin. Our aim is to host successful shows but also entertain and give people their money’s worth.”
Since its launch in 2018, House of Shisaka has already hosted Zimdancehall heavyweights like Souljah Love, Kinnah, Tocky Vibez, Killer T, Seh Calaz, Nutty O, and local acts including Brickz, Black Dillinger, Jeremiah Fyah Ises and Joburg’s popular Reggae Dancehall DJs. A sure tell tale sign that there will be more to come, making the House a go to place for Reggae Dancehall in Johannesburg. Madd Sundays are live perfomances and Guest DJs; Its Freaky Weddy Weddy on Wednesdays. Its not just bricks and mortar, its your Reggae Home.
