After a four month musical break, Ghanaian Reggae Artist David Oscar has returned with another conscious music titled “Legal Tender” that features UK based Nigerian female soul/hip – hop artist LYRICL. Also the 2014 BEFFTA AWARDS Winner for Spoken Word.
This would be his first international collaboration since his musical journey commenced a little over 2 years ago.The song is a powerful fusion of reggae and spoken word with a clear message underlining a beautiful call to promoting a healthy working ethic among its audience.
Speaking to David via telephone conversation, he indicated that in his experience as an artist, the only way he has had to make any gains was to have worked hard for it, and that is precisely what he preaches through this song.
Lyricl, his co-act on the track delivers her bars with such lyrical dexterity and control. “Hard work he says, not secret formulas, is the surest way to attaining any lasting success”, and this song Legal Tender emits exactly that notion.
