DJ BOBOTIKAL
Itumeleng Dihale was born on the 7th of May 1984 at Barangwanath Hospital, in Soweto, Gauteng. He was raised by his Grandparents at Tladi in Soweto where he also attended his primary and secondary Schooling until he had to move to Free State where he completed his schooling; then he moved back to Johannesburg and enrolled at SARA to study Sound Engineering and Events Management. After completing his course, he received an internship at GSF.
He started his Deejaying career in 1999. His background of music and event management started when he worked with his father at his music store (Ujima Records Store) in the Free State. The foundation and the love of music was strengthened by his decision to study the beauty in Sound and Events and the complexity of Technical Engineering at S.A.R.A (South African Roadies Association). The diversity bug pushed him to start organizing his own events and playing for different crowds to break the stereotype of music/culture. He spent many years putting together events without any funding and playing at all major Local & International Acts alike holding multiple residencies, Deejaying at special events and promoting his own shows. The experience has given him an ample time to develop his work as an artist/DJ and events coordinator. He’s able to work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds. He’s currently volunteering as a mentor in Deejaying/Event & Sound Tech in the Free State and Soweto Communities.

DJ Bobotikal is “EVERFRESH” on the Reggae Dancehall stages, He brings together all music lovers and tie them on a tour of deep-rooted musical journey. He caters for everyone from young and old, his sets walk you into thee freshest tunes of Reggae Dancehall. He plays for the crowd without losing his identity and leaving his EVERFRESH signature of unity. His favourite saying is “Ah So Di Ting Go” which sets him apart from other DJs/MCs. Being versatile in the industry is a must and Bobotikal is versatility personified as he is able to cater for all genres i.e. Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Kwaito and Dub Music.
