Growing up in a household with family that loves and appreciates good music made it too easy for me to fall in love with music. The thought of being a deejay came about in my varsity years after a friend introduced me to Reggae Nights on Thursdays at Carfax. The lineup those nights included Bobotikal & LasBorn, Apple Seed & Admiral. It was then that I feel in love with the idea of taking people on musical journeys as I was taken that night…i have never stopped since.
I have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to have my mixes play on international radio stations as well as being invited to play on shows internationally. I am always looking for something new and different, always out to push the envelope further and further which is why my reggae and dancehall video mixes are also featured on Soweto TV’s Reggae Vibes. The love I have for Reggae and Dancehall grows by the minute and my aim is to promote it as much as possible, taking you on a musical journey at the same time. That feeling you get when you see happiness written all over a person’s face just because of the set you played…priceless….that is the feeling I aim for every time I am on the decks.
