From a refugee to US Rumble Champion! The Sudanese Child wins US Rumble Clash

Dynamq Sound, a one man sound system based in Kansas Mid-West in the US represented African sound systems at the US Sound Clash Rumble. Dynamq is from South Sudan, was a refugee in Kenya and emigrated to the US in 1996 where he has been based ever since. He was a selector for Mickey Dreads Sounds in Kenya and started performing and DJ’ing as Dynamq in the US. He is signed to Shashamane Records as an artist.

The world clash is an annual Reggae Sound System Clash. The US Rumble is part of the regional finals that will lead to the World Clash in Canada in October. The clash was held at the Garage, Bronx-NY on 5th of May.  Irish and Chin have been hosting the Clash since 1998. Previous title holders includes: Bass Odyssey, Killamanjaro, Mighty Crown, Sentinel and many other reputable sounds.
