The 15 track compilation album is a follow up to the well received Fire Keepers Vol 1 released in 2017. It started as stage event where reggae artists from the area would gather for performances. The success of the first show Fire Keepers show, which was coined from the release of the riddim called Fire Keepers Riddim featuring most of the artists from the North West province pioneering the Tswanshall movement. Tswanshall is combination of Dancehall and Setswana, dancehall reggae delivered in the native Setswana language.
Fire Keepers is now an annual show hosted in Lichtenburg, a small farm town in the North West province and currently in its 3rd year; with their second album project featuring various artists from the North West province (home of Tswanshall music) and an appearance by Fyah Price who is based in France and Botswana represented by Chantty Natural, the Tswanshall Captain.
Fire Keepers Vol2 was produced by Red I Scorch for Grounded Roots Records and mastered by Chantty Natural of Live Wire Records who also mastered the first compilation. The first Fire Keepers album was produced by Ragga Damdee of IVR Music Production
