Global Reggae Charts Magazine: September 2018 | Reemah

Reemah from St. Croix, US Virgin Islands is on the front cover of the September issue of Global Charts Magazine. Her latest album went straight to #10 on the album charts and she was considered well worth this honor. DJ PhG from Caribbean Dance Radio in Northern California, USA is featured as one of the voters. While in Europe the festival season is coming to an end, we can see that, at least in Europe, the reggae festivals – and festivals in general – are still booming. While club shows and tours for reggae artists tend to get harder year by year, summer vibes, reggae, and the event character of a music festival seem to be a very successful combination.

But is this true everywhere in the world, or is it just the European perspective? And even in Europe, this might not be true in every country. In this issue of the GRC magazine, MissLee from MzansiReggae gives some insight into the scene in South Africa, her work with MzansiReggae, and her view on reggae on the African continent.

New releases from Alborosie & Raging Fyah, Protoje & Chronixx, Stick Figure, and Groundation on the single charts, and Reemah, Akae Beka, Ras McBean & Soulcraft, and The Nextmen vs. Gentleman’s Dub Club on the album charts.
