Jahnett Tafari to perform in Malawi with Morgan Heritage

Jahnett Tafari will be heading to Malawi to share the stage with Grammy Award Winners Morgan Heritage on the 30th of April 2016. The Royal Family of Reggae will be returning to Malawi for their highly anticipated Strictly Roots Africa Tour after they disappointed fans last year with a play back performance. They promised Malawians that they would return with a full band go give them a show that the family is known for.

South African reggae artist Jahnett Tafari, is one of the acts that have been included in the line up as a guest artist. He got the opportunity through a connection of his, Grey Parramount, who was booked to perform at the event, but decided to call on the young Jahnett in his place because he (Grey) had noticed the talent in the youth like Jahnett and many more others he has identified and that he is working with to assist them in reaching their goals of being bosses of their own reggae creative industry.

Although this will be the first time he will be performing in Malawi, it will not be the first that he shares a stage with Morgan Heritage. Back in 2013 he performed in La Garrance Festival in France where Morgan Heritage was performing.  This will also be an opportune moment to connect with Malawian finest artists and bands – Blasto Imva, Black Missionaries, Junior C, Tay Grin, Nepman and Paramount who will be opening for the Heritage Family.

Jahnett Tafari Live in Malawi

In such a short notice of being informed, the suave business minded artist has managed to book another show in Blantrye on May, 6. He will also use the time to hold strategic meetings, create new contacts and shoot some video for his latest singles. Jahnett Tafari and his stable mates from Rast Buoy Sounds [RBS]  are planning to tour 7 countries in Africa which will be supported by Rare Cuisine/Backayard Entertainment.

Asked how he felt to be representing South Africa in Malawi, the Heathen Reign hit singer responded:

It gives me a good feeling but feeling challenged by the fact that, a number of us have been representing a country that doesn’t even know that we have been doing such. Its good for our RBS International business.
