Jeremiah Fyah Ises steps out of the shadows
It has been a long trod for Fyah Ises since the launch of his debut album – Uhambo_The Journey, back in 2013. The album produced by Sham Rock Guitar had timeless hits like ‘Mama‘, ‘Never Go Low‘ and the hauntingly beautiful title track Uhambo. Along the way, he worked and collaborated with many artists and kept his presence felt in the club scene and local Sound System Kasi Dances. He performed long side Souljah Love at the former Bassline stage in front of a massive Fire Thursdays Ragga Nites crowd – Back to The Base.
He later recorded Ms. Kwathema, paying homage to the Kasi Ladies, on the Momma Love Riddim. He got featured on the Piece by Piece Riddim with a track Nguwe Wedwa that would land up playlisted on YFM and taking the number two spot on Raggattack Top Ten. He was among the first artists to voice on the hugely popular My Number One Riddim produced by Spitting Fyah Ink. In the midst of all this, he and his number one soldier and stable mate – Bongo Riot,[who has also released a promo video] have been burning the stages at almost all sound system kasi dances from the east to the west, proudly repping iKas’labo -1575; while performing these tracks that are soon to be unleashed.

If anything, the mini-documentary released last week via his label, Baak Ah Yaad Records, is a definite telltale. In just under three minutes you get to know him a little more, and go behind the scenes and get teasers from the upcoming album – Impilo ka ntanga. The captivating visuals and the skillful editing of this teaser is a subtle warning of what levels Jeremiah Fyah Ises is coming out with. He is about to step out of the Shadows. Impilo ka ntanga is definitely worth waiting for, this shrewd promo video clearly indicates that without a shadow of a doubt.
