Jugglerzz Rumble 2019 – @Lion Paw International-online
Lion Paw International Group in partnership with African Pride Sound System presents the 2nd edition of Jugglers Rumble, a Reggae Dancehall sound clash event. The clash will be held at Mix Lounge in Johannesburg, on Saturday 29 June 2019 and the winner will walk away with R3000 cash prize.
The clash culture is in its infancy here in South Africa but is an instrumental and integral part of Reggae culture worldwide, so popular that even RedBull appropriated it and is hosting global culture clashes in major cities, idealised on the Reggae Dancehall sound system culture. The global event even reach Johannesburg in 2017 and had African Storm Sound System representing Dancehall, pitted against Hip Hop (AKA), Gqom/house (DJ Tira) and AfroBeats (Pato Ranking). To experience the real authentic sound clash one has to look to the Rumble Series World Clashes hosted by Irish and Chin. The Real Deal where Soundboys kill or get killed and dubplates serve as killing machines. Dynamiq from Sudan won the US Rumble in 2018
Jugglerzz Rumble is one event that aims to bring the sound clash culture in the forefront in an effort to sustain the growth of Dancehall Reggae in Africa. Lion paw international, co-organisers of Jugglerzz Rumble Clash, have always advocated for the sound clashes through their On-line Radio Show and sound system.

Apart from African Storm Sound System (though they never clashed with any South African Sounds) Jah Crucial Hi Fi has been holding it down in the sound clash arena with an impressive collection of dubplates from foundation artists including the likes of Mikey Dread and Macka B; but its Lion Paw Sound System who currently holds an extensive collection of dub plates here in SA. They represented SA in the 6th annual SA – Zim Reggae Sound Clash hosted by Bashmouth Sound in Cape Town and walked away with the title for the Dub-Fi-Dub Clash 2014. Now they are working behind the scenes, building up, solidifying the sound system clash culture in South Africa bringing the second installment of the Jugglerzz Rumble 2019.
DJ Irie Dread holds the title of the first Jugglerzz Rumble Champion and he will be back to defend his title this year. He will be at war with

A total of 7 sounds and the winner will walk away with a R3000 cash prize and a Trophy while the other participating sounds will receive a plague for participation.
Jugglerzz Rumble Clash 2019 Rules
Round 1 – 5 Min – Introduction Round – No Elimination – Sounds Play anything
Round 2 – 5 Min – African Artists Only – 2 Sounds will be eliminated
Round 3 – 5 Min – Strictly Riddim Albums – 1 Sound will be eliminated
Round 4 – 10 Min – Kill or be Killed – Sound Clash Tunes Only – 2 Sounds will be eliminated
Round 5 – Tune fi Tune – Sound Clash and Dub Plates tunes – Winner takes all
The crowd will decide who is the killer sound through their reaction (forwards). A decibel reader will be available should it be needed. It will be the audience who decides, based on originality, performance, song selection, the energy and vibe of each sound. The final call rests with the MC.
