MIGHTY LION, an artist from Reunion Island, has released his first solo album “JAM TO RUN” where he pays tribute to the moments of life that have built him; through encounters and experiences among which his collaboration with Likkle Arno (Studio du Havre – France) who composed the instrumentals of the album.
With a strong musical background, they have created a world around the many inspirations of MIGHTYLION, which has always been inspired by Reggae and Soul, Hip Hop, Traditional Music and Ragga-Dancehall. Between energetic Dancehall rhythms, modern Reggae (Nu-Roots), Roots color for purist and sunny refrains, this new album created an opportunity for MIGHTYLION to record a unique musical and personal adventure, as well as strong artistic encounters.
The album follows the success of his first titles “Solidarity” and “Good Vibration” on the Fight it Riddim produced by Zigo (Dub drummer Inc -Reggae France) from the GreenYard Record label.
MIGHTYLION was recently featured in a documentary about Reggae Creole entitled “Soul Creole” produced by the Pris’media team and invited by Soul music artist Ben l’uncle Soul, broadcasted by France O Television, where he reveals the beauty of his island and the influence of Reggae on the world, on the evolution of this culture.
He has toured with his band “Shakals Band” (Pioneer of Reggae Peï – Reunion Island) across the Indian Ocean and France and is now in rehearsals with the group for the tour of the album “JAM TO RUN” in 2018.
