NC Dread’s new single On Fire, dropped on 30 November 2018 in time to welcome the festive season and the official start of summer break in South Africa. Every genre has got what they call the Dezemba (December) Hit that will see revelers into the new year, and NC Dread came through for the Dancehall massive with the lyrical Fire tune. It got its South African premier on Cape Town’s Hottest Reggae Dancehall Show, Level The Vybz with Bashmouth Sound on Bush Radio and the studio was literally set ablaze
The illustrious singjay has been relentless in his pursuit of dropping hit after hit and he can be counted amongst dancehall artists with the most hits released this year alone. On Fire follows hot on the heels of another hit tune titled HIGHER on the Zion Riddim produced by ZJ Bruce Lee on which he collaborated with Eye Judah from Ghana. In the same period he released Kick Out Mixtape hosted by Ghana’s internationally acclaimed Nana Dubwise, the African Dub Master which had all of NC’s tunes from the beginning of his career to date. Earlier in the year he hit it big when he clinched a collabo with Zambia’s Pop Star, Salma Sky on a tune titled Holiday produced by award winning Jamaican Producer ZJ Dymond who is also zip jock on ZipFM 103 in Kingston, Jamaica.
On Fire has got the right ingredients for a summer hit song, its catchy refrain, clean lyrics and the unmistakable dancehall beat will set the dance floors blazing this season. The song was produced by long time associate DJ Wallas who he has worked with on most of his songs and seemingly knows how to bring out the best of NC Dread. It was executive produced by Bashment Music SA who are also NC’s Management team who worked on the pre-release social media promo that had his peers – Eye Judah, Fras Twinz Music Page, General Pype, King Lagazee and DJ Thuli Thulz – endorsing the song with videos.

Visuals for the song will drop mid-December and the song officially dropped on Friday, 30 November and is available for streaming across all digital platforms and is distributed by 21st Hapilos.
