Not in My Neighbourhood Documentary
Not in My Neighbourhood tells the intergenerational stories of ordinary citizens fighting for their right to the city.
The documentary seeks to address the questions of: How has spatial violence evolved throughout history? What does gentrification and the urban forms that result from it, tell us about our current social condition? Has gentrification become the natural development trajectory of the neo-liberal global cities? what are the alternative and pro-poor models of urban renewal?
Not in My Neighbourhood is not just a documentary film, it’s also a community movement. This is an opportunity for citizens to speak out, tell their story and share tools for activism. By documenting and sharing our stories, we can push forward and mobilize our communities into what they deserve to be.
The producers have just launched their crowdfunding campaign for the documentary. See how you can be a part of a global movement against gentrification & spatial violence.
