The last time we linked up with Nkululeko ‘Black Dillinger’ Madolo, was a year ago when he had just returned from touring in Uganda and was launching the Informal Settlement Mixtape. We caught up with him before he embarks on his European tour and he opened up about his relocation to the Vaal, his upcoming Europe trip and reaching out to his support fan base. This is what he had to say:
About the upcoming trip
We’re doing a major festival in Munich, Germany called Theatron Open Air Festival. This ties in with our mission to tour and participate in big festivals outside the reggae festival circuit. I’m touring with my longtime business manager Mr. Otis Malema aka Selecta O Jugglin’. We fly out on the 5th August and will be back in the country on 10th August 2015. We have been traveling to Botswana also building and supporting our fan base there, so we have been busy on the international scene.
About Relocating to the Vaal.
Yes I. Vaal is my home away from home. Cape Town is my home and Sebokeng is my strength only because of the progress and the fulness thereof, in Sebokeng I’m standing on top of the rock whereas in Cape Town thing is a bit slow for me and I think politics also play a big role towards that but i wont dwell too much on that, in Cape Town I’m an artist but in Sebokeng I’m a King.
About his fans and support base
Fans must be involved and buy our music, attend our concerts and events. They just need to be involved more than they are cause Artist can’t make it without their support. More like full time support, please buy our music and request Black Dillinger music at radios and with all selectas.
About International links and collaborations
We rate and respect every support base. We are working to build on the work done locally because this is a very IMPORTANT market and Africa is our home. It is always an honour to be recognized by established and upcoming artists, it means we have done something right for ghetto yutes to look up to us, hence we represent dem. There’s always room to work with all artists when time permits and vibes mix.
Last words
We have some big songs coming on the management’s collaboration project called “The Connec” watch out for it coz is gonna be massive. Please go out and support our music and events every time we come around and follow @blackdillinger @tconnec @ocmafrica family on Twitter for all updates.
Salute.
