Reggae Camping by the Countryside 2019
The second installment of Reggae Camping by the Countryside will be held from the 20 September to 24 September 2019 which perfectly falls on the Heritage Day long weekend. If you missed last year’s event then you don’t want to miss it again as it promises to be bigger and better,
RCBTCS is a brain child of Miss Zinhle Msali and Miss Mpumie Jofile. What was initially planned as small intimate gathering of friends, turned into a festival for reggae lovers who descended from different provinces across the country to enjoy some roots reggae away from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. The camp returns to the beautiful, majestic, alluring valleys of Maqongqo in Pietermaritzburg. Although last year’s camp was nearly dampened by the tumultuous Maqongqo weather, but the spirit among the campers was so high (no pun intended) and positive that nothing or no one would have succeeded in damping the mood.
Confirmed Artists: Tladiman, Bongo Riot, JT Musiq, Sizwe Zakwe, Ras Zero Momodread, Legalyz, Meropa Soul, Trinity and the Standing Band, Undivided Roots, General Plago, King Shaft, Buhlebethu, Rebel I Soldier, Abzulu
Selectors: DJ Nahlinga, Guesst DJ, DJ Teedo Love, Selekta Coppashot, Nathi Dread, DJ Nok, Hottwax Family, Humble Afrikan Sound and Rudebwoy aka Darklord.
