Reggae Loves Unity
Unity – the state of being one; oneness; a whole or totality as combining all parts into one. Unity is what Reggae represents, and this year, VP Records compilation album Reggae Loves Unity is timelier than ever.
The 11 track compilation features several of the genres most notable talents. All songs are from years past and were hand selected to speak to Unity, focusing on how we have more in common than not. The lead single for the project is Jah Cure’s “Brighter Days.” At a time when many are feeling isolated, many are praying Jah Cure‘s words.
Produced by Eisaku ‘Selector A’ Yamaguchi, this compilation comes at the perfect time.
Additional singles of focus are Busy Signal’s “Peace Reign,” Sizzla featuring Luciano’s “In This Time” and Maxi Priests “Hearts Across the World.”
In addition to the compilation, 5 mixed tapes have been produced which represents Reggae and Unity in various regions. We’ll be updating the VP Records SoundCloud with Mixes from TELA-C of INFINITY16 from Japan, Mawga K from Canada, King Lagazee from Ghana, Ras Crucial and DJ Fofo from South Africa, DJ Patiz from Kenya and Dynamq Sound from the U.S.
