The KZN Music Imbizo is an annual international music business conference and exhibition held in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium suites on the 31 – 02 September 2017 from 9am to 6pm.

It is the fastest growing international music business gathering catering for the value chain of the music market since its establishment in 2009. The 2017 edition, themed The Digital Future, will have over 50 speakers representing over 20 countries for three full days of networking and music industry know how through panel discussions, exhibitions, music gear expo, film screenings, new music listening sessions, legal corner and music video pitching.


This year the conference has partnered with MzansiReggae to host a Reggae session. On the opening night of the Conference, Thursday 31 August; after the day session of networking, panel discussions and exhibitions, Rastas at Work will entertain the conference attendees and general public at the BAT Centre with sweet reggae music.

The event, dubbed Roots Rock Reggae night is envisioned to celebrate and showcase Reggae as part of the musical tapestry of South Africa and to broaden and normalize the scope of Reggae music in the main-stream music industry as an art form.

Keeping in line the theme of the Conference – The Digital Future – Reggae Night will host talented young artists from Durban to showcase the future sounds of Reggae, backed by one of Durban’s leading Reggae Band, Rastas at Work. The DJ duo of Hott Waxx Family from Durban will also be at hand to provide Ragga entertainment in-between sets.
