The winners of the SATMA Awards 2015 [South African Traditional Music Awards] were announced last night [03 Oct] at the Gala Ceremony that was held at University of Zululand in eMpangeni.
Ras Judah of the Next Generation Band won the Best Reggae Album Award 2015. An amazing feat considering that the Album Let Thy Kingdom come is his debut album, and already it was nominated for another prestigious award, the Tshima Awards. It was a heavily contested category with all the nominees hailing from the Limpopo Region. The other nominees were Ras Themba The MelaninMan and Ras Finger.
A very tired and still dazed and overwhelmed Ras Judah announced on his Facebook page that he was bringing it home.
