Alvin Henry, best known as SELEKTA SIR HENRY, is one of the founding members of the famed Umojah Sound System, Kenya’s first ever Reggae Dub Sound System. He is also a passionate photographer, environmentalist and highly respected Reggae Dub selector both locally and internationally having worked with musicians, emcees, selectors, deejays and producers from all over the world. Sir Henry was part of the vibrant ‘Wadada Wednesday’ Reggae residency with Umojah Sound System at The Alchemist. He also has been part the live Reggae selection show Reggaelizeit on Facebook every Tuesday alongside Deejay Heartical and Salma Queen. He has played many big stages such as Kilifi New Year, Nyege Nyege festivals respectively and brings with him a breadth of experience in reggae music, an extensive network of both local and international selectors, deejays, artists and producers. He also has depth of knowledge on operating reggae events.
