Tshivenda Music Awards Best Reggae Album Nominees – @Tshima Awards
The announcement of the final nominees for the 6th Tshivenda Music Awards (TSHIMA) were announced on 31 August 2019 at Tshilamba Shopping Centre in Venda, Limpopo. The nominees for Best Tshivenda Reggae artist/album of the year are Burning Doctor, Jahman Mudengu, Jah Lady Doris, C-Man and Just Ice. Previous winners of the Best Reggae albums over the years are Colbert Mukwevho (2012), Burning Doctor (2013), Jah Soldier (2015) and Ras Canly (2017).
The awards were launched in 2012 and are envisioned as a ‘strategic platform designed to recognize, promote and reward local artists who pride themselves by singing in Tshivenda indigenous language while preserving the rich heritage and cultural diversity of vhavenda people.
