“…The Forbidden topic is, shh, slavery, behavioral, mental, and spiritual and money problems created…”
Sista SoulJah.
Out of Kwathema, springs, east of Johannesburg hails a young talented reggae artist named Bongani
Madlanzi. Widely known as Jeremiah Fyah Ises, he is not afraid to question and challenge “The
Forbidden Topics”. Now for someone who many would call “still wet behind the ears” he has immense
power and deeply rooted prophetic lyrics in his music, I think Bunny Wailer summed it up nicely when
he said “with Reggae music you get three beats out of four beats and you imagine the next beat. Feel
the next beat. That’s reggae… Feel… heartbeat… Feel” This is evident in his live performances, he has
the ability to put his audience in a trance “Feel, heartbeat, Feel” a feat achieved by a few and craved by
many.
Having been exposed to music at an early age Fyah Ises’ road to “fulfilling his mission” is steadily gaining
momentum. Along his route he has worked with Killa Beats and Red Piano Studios. In 2008 he recorded
singles which didn’t get much exposure, but that never dented his eagerness to achieve his goals.
He was also featured in a mixtape by H.I.D crew called Skillz Gallery. In 2012 he met with Shamrock
Guitor(Producer) through mutual friends. And that was to prove to be the beginning of great things
to come; they came up with a project aptly named Uhambo _The Journey. The album features hits
like “Mama” “Never go low” and the title track “Uhambo” which got good reception on radio shows like
Yfm’s Raggattack hosted by Admiral and Jahseed, Reggae on the waves on prosoundlive.com hosted by
Royal Poutche and Gangalee. He has also worked with Blazing Fyah from Senegal, Riddim Yuts Poduction
and More Life Productions from California where he did a track on the “Herb Family Riddim”, the riddim
features big names like Sizzla, Tefflon, Jah Balance, Kali Blaxx and more.
He pre-launched his album in July 2013, and he will be embarking on a nationwide tour around the
country, powered by his current management QueenSoulVibes, with the help of People of the Sun
Production. The 1st stop will be in Durban on the 31st of August ’13. So lookout for him in a city near
you.
