Zoro – The Journey
The journey is a collaboration project between South African artist Zoro and an American band Dis n Dat. After many years it was about time Zoro came out with a new album since his last solo album “Us and Them” in 2007 following his first solo album “Gugs News” in 2006.
This new album shows his diversity and experience. With some groovy reggae roots rhythms and always conscious and uplifting lyrics.
The Journey is a production by Dis n Dat Productions a band based in Massachusetts in the States. The band was formed in 1999 by four time grammy nominated Black Uhuru drummer ‘Rangotan and 6 time steel pan champion Sista D. Though they produce and perform original music, the band has also backed many international artists that include Queen Africa, Tony Rebel, Anthony B, Turbulence, Everton Blender, Sister Nancy, Yami Bolo, Lady Saw to mention some .
A little bird told us that we will see much more of Zoro as he has several projects going on. Zoro is a versatile artist so you can expect a lot of experimental music, and most is written , produced and performed by himself. But you will also find him working with other producers such as Disndat, Sam gilly , Måns Asplund and more.
